Ah, green cars. So many want one, and yet are always intrigued by it. The reason why I would love to drive one is that doing so gives me the impression that I will save on fuel and in the long run, reduce my carbon footprint. Here are only 3 of the many green cars that will be making a debut in the year 2009. Which is your favorite?

1. Ford Fusion Hybrid

This will be Ford’s first green sedan creation  foray and I can tell this car will be a good one. Itt allows electric driving as high as 47 mph, and translated that means optimal fuel efficiency for this deliciously sleek five-seater.

2. VW Jetta TDI

Is there such thing as “clean” diesel? Apparently yes, with Volkswagen’s latest green technology. This green car is a must-have for every VW fan who wants to reduce their carbon footprint on Earth.

3. SMART ForTWo

Ah, my favorite green car at last! Although tiny the ForTwo sure packs a punch with its high fuel efficiency and customizble car exterior.
